Preparatory Course for DELF and DALF

The DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française – Diploma in French Language Studies) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française – Advanced Diploma in French Language) are official diplomas from the French Ministry of National Education that assess the proficiency of foreign students in the French language. Both exams have six different and independent diplomas that are divided according to the Common European Framework of Reference, ranging from levels A (1 and 2) to C (1 and 2) based on language proficiency.
These exams consist of oral (oral interaction and vocabulary) and written (comprehension and written production) components.
• Level A1:
At this level, with approximately 100 hours of classes, the student is capable of engaging in simple communications, such as talking about themselves and their surroundings clearly.
• Level A2:
When reaching level A2, the student can interact with simple everyday situations, with around 200 hours of coursework.
• Level B1:
Upon reaching level B1, with approximately 400 hours of language study, the student can interact in any type of everyday situation, express their opinions, and take a stance.
• Level B2:
At this level, the student can easily and comfortably handle any everyday situation, including correcting their errors while using the studied language. This phase typically requires around 600 hours of coursework.
• Level C1:
Reaching level C1, with around 800 hours of coursework, the student can effortlessly reproduce what they have learned, construct clear and objective sentences, and use appropriate vocabulary and extensive lexicon.
• Level C2:
With approximately 800 hours of coursework, the student can handle not only common but also complex situations in their daily life, as well as perform various academic functions.
